Lucinda Ruh has undertaken one of the most rigorous design apprenticeships in the world.  From a very young age, Lucinda has spent hours in ice arenas, from Tokyo to Dubai, Paris, London, Vancouver, St. Moritz, Davos, Milano, Rome, Hong Kong, Beijing, Toronto, Los Angeles, New York City, Moscow or St. Petersburg etc.  
 
Every time Lucinda stepped into an arena around the world, she couldn't help but notice her surroundings. Where were the lights? Was the space inviting and warm? Did the building represent the city and the people? Over the years, Lucinda developed a sense of style, a design aesthetic, and a dream.  This space could be better.  People could enjoy it more. 
 
The day has arrived, and Lucinda now takes her light and artistry and turns them into wood, stone and glass, something that everyone can enjoy.  Lucinda Design is a comprehensive design firm that works with developers, architects, city planners, corporations, and families to create the most compelling ice arenas for every environment.  Some outdoor rinks ask for a more natural treatment, nestled amongst trees and lights.  Some urban rinks ask for soaring archways to reflect the activity within.  Having seen them all around the world, Lucinda can identify an environment, an aesthetic, and help a town achieve its dream in the town square or a corporation in their plaza.
